The Inception

Éclat Design Studio was first concieved in 2007 in Portland Jamaica, but to be honest it was always meant to be. In my college days, I remember having the desire to expand my vocabulary and I began to study random words in the dictionary. I would open the dictionary and pick five words for the week. Among the words I never forgot were obsequious (a brownnoser), victuals (groceries) and there it was my favorite word Éclat a brilliance of success or dazzling effect. The word had such a rich sound that it resonated with me for years to come. I remember contemplating one day when I own a studio I will call it Éclat. So here we are Éclat and I have come a long way together. I say it was destined what do you say?

I found these pictures of the office opening party in 2007 enjoy!!!

New Year's Dinner Party

As promised, here are the images of the moroccan theme dinner party. Arabian culture is very rich in ornamentation, colors and mood lighting. I found it to be a great theme choice for starting the new year.  I used alot of candle lights and LED lights to set the mood for the evening. Appetizers included potato samosas w/ mango chutney, hummus with pita bread. For the main course everyone enjoyed moroccan tomato rice, salmon with mango salsa, sweet carrot salad and naan bread. In all it was a spectacular evening everyone felt they had left Atlanta and ventured into an Arabian oasis.
